The Karachi Bar Association has requested session judges to exempt them from wearing black coats or blazers for 10 days. They stated that due to severe heat conditions, it is very difficult for lawyers to maintain formal attire as required, because of the ongoing heat wave throughout the nation.
Karachi Bar Assosiation President said “As you are aware, Karachi is currently experiencing unprecedented heatwaves, with temperatures soaring to levels that significantly impact comfort and health,” the Karachi Bar Assosiation said.
Therefore, they have requested session judges to exempt them from wearing black coats from Thursday for the next 10 days. In the past 2 days, different hospitals in Karachi have received more than 20 dead bodies, mostly of drug addicts, due to the extreme heat wave.
