On 1st September, approximately twelve to fourteen terrorists attacked the checkpoint in Mianwali’s Qabool Khan area. The terrorists used hand grenades and rocket launchers in the attack. In the exchange of fire, their assault was repelled. Two policemen sustained gunshot injuries to their hands.
IG Punjab, Usman Anwar, announced the successful repulsion of the attack; however, the terrorists managed to escape. A search operation is ongoing. IG Punjab congratulated the policemen for their performance in repelling the attack.
