Bangladesh witnessed the deadliest attack since its birth, about five decades ago. Students and civilians came out on streets to protest against the quota system. The Supreme Court of the Bangladesh gave a decision to reduce quota from 30% to the 5%. This 30% quota was given to the families of the veterans who participated in the 1971 war of independence.
But, even after the decision by the Supreme court, protested did not stopped and people were now claiming for the resignation of the PM Hasina, and were calling her a Dictator and genocider. In these protests almost 200 civilians were died and armed forces also raped hundreds of women.
In spite of all these incidents, today PM Hasina resigned and left the country with her sister.
Army chief General Waker-Us-Zaman said in an address that Hasina, had left the country and that an interim government would be formed. Several sources are claiming they she fled to the West Bengal, a province on India, in a military helicopter along with her sister.
