After the resignation of Ex-PM Hasina, Army announced that they will take decisions and will set up an interim government. Protesters demanded that they do not like anyone as a head of their government other that Muhammad Yunus, who is also nobel laureate.
Muhammad Yunus recieved a nobel price in 2006 because, he founded a bank called Grameen Bank. This bank introduced microcredit and microfinance. He also received other prominent awards for his services. He holds many other key positions in world’s renowned institutes, he was selected as a chancellor of The Glasgow Caledonian University, serving from 2012 to 2018. Yunus also served on the board of directors of the United Nations Foundation, a public charity to support UN causes, from 1998 to 2021.
Today the press secratery announced that Muhummad Yunus will lead they interim governemnt and that the key memebers of his government will be decided later after discussings with ohter political parties.
