Khairpur: Six Family Members Die After Consuming Toxic Milk. Relatives Blame Hospital Mismanagement and Lack of Doctors.
In Khairpur’s remote village of Heibat Brohi, ten members of a family reportedly fell unconscious after consuming allegedly toxic milk. They were rushed to the hospital in critical condition, where six of them tragically passed away. Four children, including Maryam, Hajani, Manzoor, and Muhammad Bakhsh, remain in critical condition. The deceased have been identified as Dilbar, Ghulam Asghar, Faheema, Ganj Bibi, Sonia, and others.
The family of the victims has accused the hospital of negligence, citing inadequate facilities and the absence of doctors as the reasons for their children’s deaths. They are demanding strict action against the negligent staff. Furthermore, delays in transferring the children from the remote area to the Civil Hospital due to post-rain conditions worsened their situation, leading to more fatalities.
The Commissioner of Sukkur has requested a report from the Deputy Commissioner of Khairpur regarding the incident. Meanwhile, the police are investigating the source of the toxic milk, confirming that all the deceased belonged to the same family. Sindh’s Interior Minister, Zia Lanjhar, has taken notice of the deaths caused by the toxic milk and has requested a report from the SSP.
