Around some days ago, Israeli military issued new evacuation orders, this time they were forcing civilians to flee Deir al-Balah. Military says they are intended to find the tunnels and offices of Hamas and other militant groups. The Deir Al-Balah municipality says Israeli evacuation orders have so far displaced 250,000 people.
Multiple Israeli attacks resulted in numerous Palestinian casualties across different locations in Gaza. Today so far, Israeli military forces killed at least 7 people. Several videos are surfacing on social media that bulldozers are being used by Israeli military to destroy the sewerage and other infrastructure in order to find the tunnels or hideouts of Hamas.
Humanitarian aid workers are saying they are facing major problems in their work because of the forces. UN is currently holding a polio vaccination campaign, however the new evacuation orders forced them to leave their office. “The timing could hardly be worse,” says a UN official as staff are forced to abandon Gaza headquarters and halt operations ahead of a polio vaccination campaign.
