Hamas on Sunday released a statement saying that Israel should implement the truce that we had agreed on last time. The plan that was backed by President Biden and the UN security resolution. If we start a new negotiation or peace task then Israel will get time to continue its aggression.
The new Peace Talks between Gaza mediators and the Israel are due on 15 August in Qatar.
Hamas said in its statement that, the killing of Ismail Haniyeh and other Hamas leaders confirmed that Israel does not want any negotiations; they are continuing their aggression. Hamas also mentioned the deadly strike on the school which killed 100 people.
“The enemy committed a heinous crime, carrying out a massacre against displaced people in a school in the Daraj neighborhood of Gaza,” Hamas said.
However, US, Qatar and Egypt insist that a deal should be made as soon as possible to stop the on-going aggression and to escape the problems, so that it does not turn into a regional war. Israel’s PM office said that they will send their negotiators to the August 15 talks “to finalize the details of the implementation of the agreement framework.”
