What is Karsaz Incident?
On August 20, a tragic traffic incident in Karachi’s Karsaz area has led to a formal case being registered. A woman driving a high-speed luxury SUV collided with multiple vehicles and pedestrians, resulting in the deaths of a father and his daughter, and injuring five others, one critically.
The case was filed at the Bahadurabad police station, with the brother of one of the victims, Arif, as the primary complainant. The driver, who was also injured and is now in custody, appeared disoriented according to eyewitnesses.
After hitting several motorcycles, the SUV attempted to flee but crashed into another car, causing severe damage before overturning. The driver was apprehended and taken for medical examination to determine if she was under the influence of any substances. The Sindh Governor has expressed condolences and ordered comprehensive medical care for the injured.
