Israel launched a target attack in suburbs of Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, where they killed the operation head and the top senior leader of the Hezbollah group. US justice department had also set $5 million dollar award for anyone who gives information on him. US has also tagged him as the “Global Terrorist”. Israeli military said that he was the mastermind behind the Golan Heights bombing.
Why US set this much money on tips related to him?
Shukr was a close associate of now-deceased Hizballah commander Imad Mughniyah. Shukr played a central role in the October 23, 1983 bombing of the U.S. Marine Corps Barracks in Beirut which killed 241 U.S. military personnel and wounded 128 others.
Israel attacked Hammas Leader in Beirut
The Israel Defence Force (IDF) has confirmed that it targets senior leader of Hezbollah in Beirut Lebanon. It stated that the attack was in the response to the Golan Heights bombing.
Remember, a few days back some missiles hit Golan heights, an area controlled by Israel since 1967. The attack killed 12 children who were playing football and several were injured. Israel and US blamed Hezbollah for the attack, however Hezbollah denied it saying they launched attack on Israel, some of the missiles were projectiled by the Iron Dome system of the Israel to the Golan Heights. Israel in response vowed to take revenge and strike back as hardest as they can.
