The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has announced a series of operations across Balochistan, dubbed “Operation Herof,” claiming significant casualties among Pakistani security forces. According to a statement by BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch, the group reports killing 62 military personnel and capturing two others during various attacks and roadblocks.
The BLA’s elite Majeed Brigade reportedly attacked the military’s Bela headquarters, claiming to have killed 24 personnel and seized part of the camp. Additional casualties were reported by other BLA units during blockades on major routes throughout Balochistan.
The group claims to have established checkpoints on several key highways and roads in the region, including those connected to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). They report multiple engagements with security forces, including ambushes on military convoys and attacks on checkpoints.
The BLA states it has captured various security personnel, including police and Levies forces, across different locations. The spokesperson indicated that more details about these operations would be forthcoming.
