Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko announced that Ukraine has stationed over 120,000 troops along its border with Belarus, prompting Minsk to deploy nearly a third of its armed forces along the entire frontier.
Lukashenko, a close ally of Vladimir Putin, cited the aggressive stance of Ukraine as the reason for this deployment, emphasizing that the Belarusian military is prepared for defense in case of war. Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin also highlighted the high risk of an armed provocation from Ukraine, noting that the situation at the border remains tense.
