On August 22, CBI was granted permission by a special court in Kolkata to conduct polygraph tests of the then principal Sandip Ghosh and other 4 doctors who were on duty when the rape and murder case happened.
After the rape incident of Dr. Moumita Debnath incident, Sandip Ghosh, principal of R.G. Kar Medical College and Hospital, resigned. However, CBI took him into the suspect list and has been questioning him. He also tried to make this event a suicide case.
When parents of Dr. Moumita Debnath reached the hospital, they were made to wait for 3 hours to see the body of their daughter. which was having 135 bie marks, smashed spectacles into eyes, which also caused bleeding, broken pelvic girdle, injuries on entire body, and 150 gram of semenic fluid.
This case has gained attention from international people and major protests are going on in India too. The Supreme Court is now monitoring the case and has promised doctors that they will take strict measures to find the culprit.
