The US has given Ukraine almost $107 billion in aid. The war went longer than expected. It is been more than 2 years since the war started. Russia started the war in February 2022. Ukraine’s Foreign Minister, Dmytro Kuleba, visited China first ever after the war of Russia-Ukraine, between 23 and 24 July. He called for peace negotiations with Russia, if, Russia acted in good faith. He called this meeting “very deep and concertrated” with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi. In his opening statement, Kuleba said, “I am convinced that peace in Ukraine is in China’s strategic interests, and China’s role as a global force for peace is important.”
Russia wants Ukraine to surrender its four regions before engaging in peace talks and should ensure them that they will never join NATO.
A few days ago, President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, met with Donald Trump, who is running for US presidential election this year, and experts are saying that he will win with a clear majority. He, for a very long time, has opposed funding to Ukraine; he further said, “I’ll end the war within 24 hours if I become president.” Ukraine is now turning to diplomacy to win his war initiatives. They are making a fair, according to international conditions, a platform to do a fair negotiation deal with Russia.
