On Monday, law enforcement officials in Islamabad, Pakistan’s capital, apprehended two prominent figures from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party. The individuals taken into custody were Barrister Gohar, Chairman of the party, and Raouf Hassan, who serves as the party’s spokesperson.
The incident occurred at the PTI’s headquarters, situated in the G-8 sector of the city. In response to the situation, a significant number of police personnel have been mobilized to secure the perimeter of the party office.
Footage circulating on social media platforms depicts members of the Islamabad police escorting Barrister Gohar and Raoof Hassan from the premises. When approached for comment, police representatives remained tight-lipped about the circumstances surrounding the detentions.
